The Silene coeli-rosea , or sky rose, is a low annual plant that blooms all summer with a mass of delicate lavender-blue flowers. It blooms profusely and gives a playful character to the garden with its small moving stems.
Perfect for borders, rockeries or wildflower meadows. This plant is also suitable as a ground cover and in small bouquets.

Sow directly in open ground in spring. Cover seeds lightly and keep soil moist until germination.

Silene thrives in sunny to semi-shaded spots with well-drained soil. It grows to about 20-30 cm high.

The sky pink silene is native to the Mediterranean region and parts of southwest Asia.
