The Salvia coccinea , also known as scarlet sage, is an attractive, fast-growing plant with bright red flowers that attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies.
Excellent for borders, wild gardens or pots. It brings a vibrant colour to the garden and is popular in warm climates. Very long flowering (June to October) and very long vase life: 'Summer Jewels': early flowering! dark stems, fiery red flowers

Sow directly in open ground or indoors at 20-25°C in spring.

This plant prefers full sun and well-drained soil. It is drought tolerant and blooms from spring to fall.

Scarlet sage is native to the southeastern United States, Mexico, and Central America.
