Nemophila maculata , or woodland sweetheart, is an attractive low plant and has white flowers with purple speckles at the ends. Ideal as ground cover or in pots for a more playful and fresh look.

Sow outdoors from March to May in light, well-drained soil.

Blooms from June to August. Cut off dead flowers to prolong bloom.

Native to North America, it likes filtered sunny to semi-shaded spots which will extend flowering.
