Daucus carota , or Wild Carrot, indispensable in the cutting garden, but also between perennials. Biennial flowering carrots with fine, white to pink blooming flower heads that give a romantic look. The plant sows itself easily and is a strong addition to any natural garden. Blooms from June to September. Cut away the faded umbels for a longer bloom.
Sow direct outdoors from April to June or later in the autumn for quicker flowering on the next side.
Originally from Europe and Asia, the Wild Carrot grows on poor soil and in the sun.
