The Agrostemma gracilis 'Ghitago' , or corncockle, is an annual plant with graceful fine stems with purple-pink flowers that bloom from May to July. Its airy growth makes it a favourite in wild gardens. The corncockle is one of the original 'field weeds' (along with cornflowers, poppies, etc.), which are now no longer found in cereal fields. Ideal for flower meadows, borders and natural gardens. The flowers are loved by bees and butterflies. The plant grows to 60-90 cm high.
